Resilient Lake County Teacher Workshop

This workshop will introduce educators to the Resilient Lake County unit, a place-based unit developed for middle and early high school students to explore the science of cascading hazards (drought, flood, wildfire, landslides & earthquakes) in rural northern California. The curriculum includes local stories, trauma-informed practices to reflect on students' own experiences, and an exploration of social factors that increase vulnerability to hazards.
