High school students in the Upward Bound Math Science program at Trinidad State Junior College from southern Colorado and New Mexico will visit CU to learn about climate change effects through creating their own films.

During this Idaho-based regional workshop about climate education, Katie Boyd will present about CLEAN. She will demonstrate to teachers how they can use the CLEAN Collection and Teaching Guidance pages to help bring climate and energy topics into their classrooms.
Students from Citrus College in California are visiting Boulder to explore the science of wildfires. They will be working with CIRES scientists and staff to examine and compare California’s and Colorado’s wildfires.
12 Scientists and Educators will meet to discuss and review resources that have been established as possible additions to the CLEAN Collection. They will determine which of these resources are of high enough quality to be cataloged into the resource database.
The STEM Learning and Research Center (STELAR) at the National Science Foundation is putting on their annual ITEST Principle Investigator and Evaluator Summit on June 13-14th in Alexandria, VA. The theme of the event is “Living, Learning, and Working in the Digital Age.”

Climate Education Professional Development participants have repeatedly asked what comes next after the introductory courses. Here is our answer: Climate Webinars for Educators. These 1.5-hour webinars are offered in thematic two-packs (Water in the West, Extreme Weather). The webinars always feature expert scientists during a panel discussion guided by moderator questions. The webinars are broadcast as live streaming and are recorded for asynchronous viewing.
