Students across Colorado have participated in various forms of resilience action projects. Check out some of their great work below:

  • Read about a Community Resilience Expo hosted by students at Hotchkiss High School
  • Watch a video about Gunnison High School's Community Wildfire Expo (nominated as a finalist for the Rise Challenge 23/24!)
  • Read this article and watch this video about Estes Park Middle School students advocating for policy change around WUI codes (first-place winners of the Rise Challenge in 22/23!)
  • Watch a video produced by students at Collegiate Academy of Colorado who carried out a community service project to create defensible space (nominated as a finalist for the Rise Challenge 23/24!)
  • Our partners at Earth Force specialize in Environmental Action Civics. Earth Force works here in Colorado to host the RISE Challenge, a program for middle and high school students to take action to increase resilience to natural hazards.See all of the RISE Challenge winners and finalists here and look for the HEART Force logo on projects that participated in HEART Force: RISE Challenge Project Gallery - Earth Force
