NNA-CO Learn & Connect Series: Gen Z Voices on Climate & Mental Health: A Panel Discussion

Join us for an engaging conversation exploring the intersection of climate change, mental health, and Indigenous perspectives, featuring two members of the Gen Z Climate Mental Health Network. This interactive session will feature a panel discussion and Q&A with youth voices reflecting on their lived experiences, challenges, and hopes for the future.

Panelists include:

Grace Tafolla – A Comanche and Apache descendant from Gary, IN, Grace is pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Policy while working on urban reforestation with the SCA’s Calumet Crew. Dedicated to protecting the planet, she grounds her work in lived experience and a commitment to strong environmental policy.

Fiona Summers – With a background in Environmental Humanities (M.S.) and Biology (B.A.), Fiona is passionate about creating supportive spaces for climate-aware mental health. Currently training to become a climate-aware therapist, Fiona brings experience in environmental justice, resilience, and community care.

This event is designed especially for Arctic community members and researchers studying the impacts of climate change on Indigenous communities. Together, we will reflect on the role of mental health in navigating climate challenges and the importance of uplifting youth voices in shaping a more resilient future.
