Supporting Youth Agency through Climate Education: Classroom ready teaching materials and support for educators and students

Join us for a 30 min webinar to learn about effective climate change education resources, materials and strategies focusing on developing youth and educator agency and processing climate emotions in classrooms. A sense of agency helps students envision and work toward a sustainable future and overcome the anxiety and grief often associated with climate change. The award-winning Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEANet.org) offers resources, teaching guidance, and a network of support. In this webinar, the CLEAN team will provide an overview of the climate education portal, showcasing its collection of nearly 1,000 high-quality, peer-reviewed climate education resources for all grades and subjects. Participants will also learn about strategies and activities to address climate mental health in classrooms, teaching climate change across the curriculum, and introducing students to the most current climate science.

This webinar is geared towards educators of all levels and environments. Educators who attend synchronously can receive certification for professional development time.
