Join us to learn about Colorado Climate Literacy Resources!
WHO: Middle and High School Science Teachers
WHAT: In-person teacher workshop in a conference-style format, with sessions on CEEE, NOAA, and CLEAN education resources, scientist talks, lab tours, and networking sessions.
- Participants will leave with a variety of classroom-ready lessons and activities, and receive a 20-hour PD certificate from the University of Colorado Boulder
WHEN: Wednesday, June 11th to Friday, June 13th (Wednesday/Thursday 8-5, Friday, 8-Noon)
WHERE: University Memorial Center, CU Boulder. A Western-slope version of the institute will be held earlier in June at Western Colorado University in Gunnison.
Join us for a three-day teacher workshop in June, where you’ll get to engage with a variety of classroom-ready curricula from the Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation (CEEE), formerly known as CIRES Education & Outreach.
The workshop will feature sessions on topics such as climate science, natural hazards, water resources, climate mental health, data literacy, and more. Participants can tour the local NOAA research site, hear directly from climate scientists, and attend a Science On a Sphere presentation.
In addition to the CEEE team, representatives from NOAA Boulder and the CLEAN team will present valuable resources.
*We will contact you in March with more information and to collect a small registration fee which will be returned to you upon completion as a stipend or towards continuing education credits. Scholarship options will be available.
