HEART Force Participants Win Statewide Award for Wildfire Preparedness Project

This marked the first year that Primero students entered the RISE Challenge, hosted by national nonprofit Earth Force, though they have been active participants for several years in a partner program, the Hazard Education, Awareness and Resilience Task (HEART) Force.  HEART Force works with classes around the state to build resilience to wildfire, flood, and drought.  Through their Outdoor Education class at Primero, students have explored the vulnerabilities of Primero and nearby areas to hazards such as drought and wildfire.
