Engage Climate Science
Science-forward to be future-ready
As professionals around the globe face the consequences of a changing climate, training and knowledge on how to understand, work with, and plan for climate impacts and solutions remains scarce and scattered. And, too often, that training is provided by people or organizations with an agenda.
Engage Climate Science brings understanding, frameworks, and tools that address climate insights and strategic planning without the agenda.
Leaders tasked with making critical decisions about near- and long-term trajectories often lack an adequate understanding of the best available science. This knowledge gap limits planning efficacy, increases future risk, and undermines strategy. Climate science insights are no longer merely advantageous; they are essential for successful organizational, financial, and community decision-making. To set a new standard and ensure that decision makers have the knowledge and resources to understand and apply relevant climate data, the University of Colorado Boulder’s Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) and renowned scientist and communicator Dr. Twila Moon founded Engage Climate Science.
Engage brings climate literacy to those who need it most with a suite of activities including in-person and virtual seminars, half to multi-day workshops, and custom programming to meet your unique needs. Previous participants have started new media campaigns, re-written corporate strategies to integrate climate awareness and action, established new climate-focused investments and giving programs, continued engagement through follow-up training, and more.
