CEEE Unveils A New Line of Comprehensive Asynchronous Online Workshops

The Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation (CEEE) has launched a new suite of comprehensive asynchronous online workshops designed to support educators, researchers, and community partners. The self-paced courses cover a range of topics from climate literacy to culturally relevant classroom engagement and blend practical strategies with background knowledge, examples, and resources aimed at strengthening meaningful learning experiences.

The first course in the series, Introduction to Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) for Atmospheric Science, provides researchers with an overview of the capabilities and potential of UAS in atmospheric studies. It features a brief history of drone research at the University of Colorado Boulder, an introduction to UAS technology, and testimonials from professionals who use UAS in their scientific work.

Two additional courses are geared toward science educators. Arctic Scientists in the Classroom: Principles for Designing Community-Centered Educational Programs offers guidance on building culturally responsive, community-driven learning opportunities, while Bringing Climate Topics Into Your Classroom supports teachers in confidently integrating climate science into their curriculum.

CEEE’s new workshop series aims to expand access to flexible, high-quality professional learning opportunities for anyone working at the intersection of science and education. Interested participants can explore the courses online now.
