The Navigating the New Arctic (NNA) Research Experience for Undergraduate Students (REU) is a paid research program designed to provide Alaska community college and university undergraduate students with an authentic research experience with Arctic community priorities at the center. This hybrid research experience focuses on exploring Indigenous and Western science methods of studying how a changing climate impacts Arctic communities.

A paid research experience program open to undergraduate students from Alaska communities
$5,000
Supports a student’s stipend, housing, travel, and conference registration fees as they participate in an authentic research experience with Arctic community priorities at the center.
Student and Early Career Professional Travel
Travel grants to participate in research experiences, conferences, and other professional development events
$100-$1,000
Supports transportation and other associated costs for students and early career professionals to fully participate in RECCS, PSECCO, Girls* on Rock (GOR), and other programs.
