HEARTforce teacher workshop in Durango
CIRES Education and Outreach is partnering with the Mountain Studies Institute for a one-day teacher professional development workshop for secondary science teachers to learn about hazards affecting Coloradoans; floods, wildfires, extreme heat and drought. Teachers will learn about the latest science and how to implement place-based curriculum to teach in their classroom, including a scenario based role play game for the classroom.
