Presented by Cassie Rutherford, Cristina Poleacovschi, & Kristie Franz this video discusses the impacts of Arctic river flooding and erosion in Alaska Native villages along the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. They focus on developing tools to help understand the risks flooding poses and how to prevent it in the communities.

Kristie Franz Ph.D - Professor and Chair, Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, Smith Family Foundation Chair in Geology

Cristina Poleacovschi Ph.D - Dr. Poleacovschi is an assistant professor in the Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Department. Her research focuses on knowledge sharing in project-based organization, infrastructure inequities, and enhancing critical consciousness and social justice attitudes in engineering education.

Cassie Rutherford Ph.D - Dr. Rutherford is an associate professor in geotechnical engineering, a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas and teaches courses related to advanced soil testing, foundations and introduction to geotechnical engineering.
