Data Lens Exploring Earths Visual Stories (NOAA SOS) Webinar

Modern innovations in data visualization and infrastructure have made large datasets accessible to the public. Students must learn how to interpret these visualizations to excel in standardized testing and make informed decisions in today’s data-driven world. This webinar will equip teachers with tools to help their students engage with and understand complex scientific data.

  • Learn how to teach scientific data visualizations without having to know the right answers!
  • Participate in a full (10–20 minute) Data Lens activity as a student.
  • Discover strategies for implementing these activities in your classroom.
  • Receive resources and lesson plans directly to your inbox.
  • Gain insights from Hilary Peddicord, NOAA’s SOS Education Lead, about the research and data literacy approach behind Data Lens.
