NNA Research Experience for Undergraduate Students (REU)

Explore Arctic research with the NNA Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), a paid program for Alaska undergraduate students.

The NNA REU is a paid research program for undergraduate students from Alaska communities, focused on Arctic environmental science and climate change. This unique experience integrates Indigenous and Western knowledge while providing mentorship, hands-on research, and the opportunity to attend the Alaska Forum in Boulder, CO. Participants will analyze Arctic community data, engage with experts, and present their findings.

The program runs January 6-7 (online) and January 31 - February 6 (in-person) with a $1,200 stipend, covered travel, and graduate-level credit from CU Boulder. No prior research experience is needed! Apply by November 19, 2025.
